Blackburn Foodbank Hosts Collaborative Event Against Cost of Living Crisis

11th October 2022

Blackburn Foodbank would like to say a huge “thank you” to everyone who came to the Day of Action on Saturday. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

“It isnโ€™t ok for people to be without food, money, housing or employment, so we hope by coming together, we can show that we stand for a future where services like the Foodbank donโ€™t need to exist.” – Daisy Dumsday, Communication Coordinator & Local Organiser, Blackburn Foodbank.

It was great to see the residents of Blackburn with Darwen supported by the many services present and to strengthen our relationships with those services and the general public. We were joined by The Oaks Money Advice Centre, Newground, Care Network, Shelter UK, Blackburn Help Hub and Lancashire Wellbeing Service.
We hope to continue this collaborative stance against the cost of living crisis and bring hope and support to the people in our communities!
